Since 1993

A multimedia artist who explores the intersection of the organic with the built environment.

After working professionally in media and teaching student communications and design at outstanding independent schools in California, Cole Godvin is now completing an MA in Art Education at UT-Austin.

She has studied design at UCLA and printmaking at Otis College of Art and Design and Josephine Studios in Los Angeles and The Contemporary Austin Art School in Austin, and illustration at the Idyllwild Summer Arts Program in Idyllwild, CA.

Winner of a graduate fellowship in Art Education at UT, her teaching practice is integral to her studio practice, and she is thrilled to launch a choice-based art program at the Huntington-Surrey School in Austin.

Most of her family is in California, and she travels frequently between Northern and Southern California and Austin, Texas. Both her partner of four years and two-year old daughter have an art practice as well. They all enjoy living a creative life together and are avid seekers of adventure.
